Kim Carlton is the author of Short Texts, Big Impact: 35 Strategies for Strengthening Reading and Writing Skills; she provides professional development for educators nationally and internationally. She spent over 15 years as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, interventionist, and director of language arts at Richardson Independent School District.
