Jung-Sup Um received his PhD (Geography) from University of Aberdeen, UK in 1997. He is currently a Professor of Geography at Kyungpook National University. His field of interest is applications of Cyber-Physical systems, focused on smart drones about Remote Sensing and GIS. He has been awarded thirteen times Outstanding Research Awards for significant and lasting research contributions. He is editor in Chief of the journal Spatial Information Research from 1995.
