Erik Dilloo-Heidger lives with his wife in southern Germany between the Swabian Alb, Lake Constance and the Black Forest.
He studied German philology, mathematics and Catholic theology in Freiburg/Br. and in Salamanca, Spain, specializing in Libera­tion Theology of Latin America.
As a teacher, he worked at various schools in the Rottweil area. He was interested in the history of religion, especially the discovery of the idea of yoga in the nineteenth century.
The interest in getting to know Alois Mailänder and his world was awakened by Gustav Meyrink, who conveyed the deep impression that Mailänder made on him.
