American Fairy Tales is a collection of twelve fantasy stories by L. Frank Baum, published in 1901. The stories were serialized in five major newspapers before being compiled into a book. The first edition featured an unusual design with illustrated borders, reflecting medieval influences. The stories have a satirical and tongue-in-cheek tone, with ironic morals.
